AZALEA TRAIL IN HOUSTON, AND MACARONI AND CHEESE IN THE SNOW

It is spring in Houston, Texas and time for the AZALEA TRAIL http://riveroaksgardenclub.org/AzaleaTrail.cfm , which is put on by the RIVER OAKS GARDEN CLUB it is this weekend from Friday to Sunday, March 5-7. Always a beautiful treat. I was just in Aspen this weekend, and it is NOT spring there! I do love the mountain landscape covered in snow. The aspen trees with their beautiful bark and giant pine trees with their branches covered in snow. All my needs were met Sunday afternoon after a lovely snow shoe outing with my freinds ,then open air lunch at Ajax Tavern... I am here to tell you their MACARONI AND CHEESE is OUTRAGEOUS...... quite possibly the best I have ever had. Looking up at the beautiful mountain landscape AND the worlds best macaroni and cheese......HEAVEN.
